In pursuit of the prom queen crown, Donya finds herself in a love triangle, a cappella face offs, staged promposals, cherry-popping schemes, and a web of lies. We’ve all been there. And if you can’t relate, you must’ve been cool in high school. The Virgin Queen is a campy, coming-of age high school teen story. If you liked Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, or HBO’s Sex Lives of College Girls, and the film Bottoms, then you will LOVE this web series premiering this winter!
The 1st Assistant Director
Collaborating with the extremely talented, hilarious, and triple-threat writer, director, and lead actress, Donya Rahimi, I was involved heavily in pre-pro, production, and post-pro.
As 1st AD, I was responsible for:

Script editing and script breakdown

Scheduling the shoot dates across three weekends, a handful of weeknights, and coordinating 25+ individual full time work schedules of our cast and crew

Call sheet creation and distribution

Location scouting and pricing negotiations

Email communications and daily updates/reminders

Post-production feedback and edit suggestions
The series consists of 4 episodes, to be released December 2025.
